Prediabetes

Prediabetes is when blood glucose levels are high, but they are not yet high enough to be diagnosed as type 2 diabetes. With prediabetes, you still need to take very close precautions. Most individuals that have prediabetes will develop type 2 diabetes sometime within their lives.  However, it is extremely important for individuals to be aware of their prediabetes and take certain precautions, as research shows that complications can occur within the prediabetes stage, such as: heart disease, and nerve damage.  If you are aware about your diabetes, this can give you a chance to improve your lifestyle with exercise, healthy eating, and maintaining a healthy weight.  With making such changes within your daily routine, prediabetes can prolong or even eliminate your chances for type 2 diabetes.
